“Five Little Monkeys” is an English language folk song and fingerplay. It is usually accompanied by a sequence of gestures that mimic the words of the song. Each successive verse sequentially counts down from the starting number.

Five little monkeys jumping on the bed,
One fell off and bumped his head,
Mama called the doctor and the doctor said,
“No more monkeys jumping on the bed!”

Four little monkeys jumping on the bed,
One fell off and bumped his head,
Mama called the doctor and the doctor said,
“No more monkeys jumping on the bed!”

One fell off and bumped his head,

“No more monkeys jumping on the bed!”

Two little monkeys jumping on the bed,
One fell of and bumped his head,

“Put those monkeys right to bed!”
