Time Travel Mater is the 11th episode of the Cars Toons Mater’s tall tales series, which was first aired on Disney Channel. It was officially premiered ten days later at the Disney California Adventure park to celebrate the opening of Cars Land. It was included on the DVD and Blu-ray of Pixar Short Films Collection Volume 2. The episode features Mater telling a story according to which he travels back in time, back to the beginnings of Radiator Springs to 1909 where he meets Stanley, the founder of Radiator Springs town, who works as radiator caps salescar. At the end of the episode Lizzie thanks McQueen for introducing her and Stanley and so they get ready for their wedding day. After getting married, they went honeymooning at Comfy Caverns. Then, Mater and McQueen leave, and Mater finishes his tall tale story. And what a story folks.!!!
According to wiki Pixar this episode was the first, and so far, only Cars Toons: Mater’s Tall Tales episode with Lizzie in it, and actually the first time she played a role. This is also the first Cars Toons Mater’s Tall Tales episode with Lightning McQueen in his World Grand Prix paint job showing mcqueen’s open hood showing his motor.
According to wikia Pixar Stanley is the departed patriarch of Radiator Springs, and the deceased husband of Lizzie, depicted in the film Cars in the form of a bronze statue that stands at the end of Radiator Springs Town courthouse. Stanley appears in Time Travel Mater. This was the only time where Stanley had a role of being alive and having a voice
