Come spend a day with us on our last day in Washington DC. We have really enjoyed our time here and definitely need to plan another (longer) trip out this way! Today, we saw a few monuments and visited a Smithsonian museum. The big kids loved the hands-on science and learning rooms. We found the World’s Longest Escalator. Now, many people won’t think this is cool, but my kids LOVE to ride the escalator. Any time we offer a ride up or down (or even better up AND down) the escalator, it’s a big time reward! So we rode this extremely long escalator, timed the ride, and the kids LOVED it! Playing at the park has never been so fun! We visited the most amazing, HUGE wooden fort playground. Not only does it have the regular outdoor park stuff like slides and swings, but there’s hidden passages, tunnels, secret forts and lots of other cool stuff! Playing outside is our favorite!
