Disney’s Winnie the Pooh has been a classic for over a generation. Winnie the Pooh was originally created by A.A. Milne, but now the franchise is owned by Disney (That is why you see Winnie, Tigger, and friends while at Disney World, Disneyland, and the Magic Kingdom.

This is a vintage Play Doh set from the 1970’s that allows you to make a variety of “honey” shapes using Winnie the Pooh’s tree house. Compared to some of the more recent Play Doh sets this one may look a little basic, but never fear children (and their parents) will enjoy this classic.

Notes-

– An older Play Doh set, so it may be difficult to find. If you do find it expect that it will not come with the original Play Doh

– Two extrusion tabs are included – each allows you to make 5 different shapes – everything from tubes to stars and other shapes.

Final Verdict – A fun Play Doh classic- while it may be difficult to find the Play Doh Winnie the Pooh Honey Pumper is fun for kids and will take parents (maybe even grandparents) down memory lane

Sofia the First Magical Talking Castle Unboxing and Review

The Castle looks like a miniature version of Sofia’s castle all the way down to the stained glass that James broke in one of the earlier episodes. Sofia’s room has a replica window sill for her and Clover (and Clover can snap into the daybed and rotated for a little hide-and-go-seek – although this almost never works – Clover usually gets stuck). Each of the characters sit on the platform and play a variety of phrases – again with some exceptions – neither James nor the King actually speak.

Notes

– Comes with a Sofia and Clover (the bunny) figures. Sofia is completely moveable (to the point that she bows)

– When the figures are tapped on the platform they will speak a variety of phrases. This is cool and fun, but it does have a couple of flaws. First, it doesn’t always work and, second -the character does not always use the correct character voice.

– The castle is sturdy, but not necessarily at the quality level you would expect for the price. It is thin plastic – and if something falls on it you may be out of luck.

Final Verdict – The Sofia the First Magical Talking Castle has been improved. As it is my daughter thinks that is fun, and likely worth the money to any Sofia the First fan.

Our daughter is going through a phase where she loves horses and ponies. The Animagic My Baby Pony Honey has turned into one of her favorite toys. Not only does Honey look just like a horse, but it is also it smoothly animated and makes very real sound horse sounds.

By petting the Honey on the nose, top of the head, or on his back will cause him/her to come to life. You can also feed it a carrot (which is included) causes Honey to make a very real chomping sound.

Notes
– Makes very real sounding horse sounds – almost a bit spooky. Petting the horses head and back brings Honey the horse alive.

– By placing the carrot in his/her mouth Honey begins to make a chomping sound

– The horse moves her head and open and closes her eyes – while the movement isn’t *perfectly* smooth it is much better than a typical toy.

– Honey will sit on the floor and/or it is perfectly designed to sit in your child’s lap so that can pet it.

– Pretty cuddly our daughter keeps in her bed – and our daughter frequently pets it in the middle of the night (we know because we can hear the horse!).

Final Verdict – This was one of our daughter’s favorite birthday presents – it is a can’t miss toy for any girl (or boy) that likes horses. Definitely recommended – and I could see that this could become a hot item for Christmas 2013.
