Jake and the Never Land Pirates is a show that is popular for both boys, and somewhat surprisingly, girls. My daughter and her friends often run around pretending to be Izzy in pursuit for gold doubloons.

Notes on the Jolly Roger

– Comes with Captain Hook and an extendable plank

– A trap door is located underneath the ships wheel

– A water cannon can be positioned around the ship – two shots are included

– When the Jolly Roger rolls across the floor it has a wobble that is designed to look like it sailing across the seas.

Notes on the Sailwagon

– Comes with Jake, Izzy, and Cubby – and all three look exactly as they do in the show. One very minor complaint is that while Izzy has her pixie dust (around neck) Jake does not have his wooden sword and Cubby does not have his map.

– The water cannon can be placed in several spots on the Sailwagon – and has three shots included

– The sailwagon rolls easily across any surface – although the steering wheel does not turn the wheels (not that I was expecting it to)

– Jake and Cubby can stand on their own but it is a bit difficult to get Izzy to stand.

– The sail on the sailwagon turns easily

– The quality is what you would expect…. it is plastic but it feels pretty solid.

My daughter’s favorite Disney Princess is Belle. She also loves to play with Play Doh – so how could she not love the Play Doh Disney Princess Beauty and the Beast play set.

– Comes with molds to make Belle, Beat, Chip, and Ms. Potts

– Two cans of Play Doh are included

– It is difficult to make accurate looking Play Doh characters – Belle can be done rather easily, but it is very difficult to make Beast (as he looks on the box). Even the most experienced Play Doh experts may struggle with Beast!

– Clean-up is pretty easy, especially by Play Doh standards

Final verdict – While it is a little difficult the Play Doh Disney Princess Beauty and the Beast play set is sure to bring smiles!

In the Winter or on a rainy day our family looks for indoor activities (other than watching TV). Often times we pull out one of our daughter’s Play Doh sets, but often times we try to choose a game. The problem is that it is tough to find a game that a four year old can master that won’t bore us parents to death ( I mean there are only so many time that you can play Candyland and Shoots and Ladders). Teh Disney Eye Found Is simple enough for our daughter to learn, but has enough variety for my wide and me.

Notes-

– For up to 6 players – game tokens included Mickey Mouse, Alice (from Alice in Wonderland), Platypus, Ariel, and Tinker Bell

– Everyone in the game either wins or loses – making it a great game for any children that struggle with losing

– To win everyone must reach Cinderella’s castle before midnight… fail to do so means that everyone loses. All players continue to play (and look for items) even after they have reached the castle.

– Helps to teach counting and telling time – while they search for items on the playing board

– The playing board is about 6 feet long and is covered with scenes from various Disney movies…. Cars, Beauty and the Beast, Peter Pan, to Mickey mouse Clubhouse (and more). When a player lands of a search tile or when the spinner stops on a search space – you must select a card that has an item on it (the sinner board will indicate if it is a blue or red card). All players must search for the item on the card and place mouse ears (or as my daughter calls it an “Oh Toodles”) on the item. When the sand timer runs out you count the number of items that have been found and *all* players advance that number of spaces

Final Verdict – Disney Eye Found it is a great game that can be played by the entire family. Older children (above 10) may become bored due to the lack of strategy (although it is more entertaining than “Shoots and Ladders” and “Candyland”). However, our 4 year old loves the game. Recommended

Our family is a fan of the Play Doh Picnic Bucket. It has all of the necessary accessories required to make a picnic lunch full of sandwiches, fruits, and snacks. While there are bigger and more elaborate playsets available (like the Play Doh Drill N Fill, Play Doh Disney Prettiest Princess, or even the Play Doh Puppies)

– Lots of Play Doh Molds are included – bread, cheese, ham, strawberry, bananas, pears, pretzel, and cookies – All of the food items are easy to be made, and can probably be mastered by most 3 year olds. With a little practice you can make all of the food items look very real.

– Clean up is pretty easy – there are not many small crevices for the Play Doh to get stuck in.

– One of the best parts – everything that comes with the playset will fit int he storage bucket!

Final verdict – The Play Doh Picnic Bucket is a fun and easy playset – there are more elaborate Play Doh sets available (like the Drill N Fill or the Play Doh Disney Prettiest Princess), but this one can be set-up and cleaned-up in less than 15 minutes/

Our daughter has always loved Mickey Mouse Clubhouse – almost from the time she was born (she is nearly 4). The Mickey Mouse Fly N Slide Clubhouse allows our daughter to play out some of the scenes from the show. While the Fly N Slide Clubhouse will entertain younger children older children may find it a little too basic.

Notes-

– Comes with a Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse figures – both bend at the waist so that they can sit down in the airplane, chair, and teeter totter.

– The airplane caught my daughter’s attention, but it is tough to keep Mickey or Minnie in the plane without falling out.

– Comes with a teeter totter and a table and chair set.

– The top of the clubhouse features a trap door (that is activated by pushing down on the telescope) causing Mickey or Minnie to drop down and slide down the slide.

– The slide is a little like the plane – it is fun at first but our daughter quickly lost interest.

– Does not require batteries and does not make any sounds (which is a nice thing)

– The inside of the Clubhouse does not feature any working components. It would have been great if it looked a little more like the Clubhouse on the show.

Final Verdict – The Mickey Mouse Fly N Slide will bring smiles to all of the fans of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Older kids may get bored with it pretty quickly but younger kids (under three) will love playing with Mickey and Minnie.

The Never Land Sailwagon isn’t as familiar as Bucky or the Jolly Roger, but it is fun car/wagon that comes with Jake’s entire pirate crew (minus Skully).
