Fishing & Outdoor Survival Cooking – Polynesian Cultural Center Hawaii

Imagine cooking your entire meal using hot rocks, leaves and a couple blankets. We made an entire meal like that, we caught fish, and did a ton of other super cool things when we visited the Polynesian Cultural Center on North Shore. We got to cook an authentic Samoan meal over a fire (umu cooking) including the bowls to eat from, we made fish hook necklaces, and we went fishing and caught one of the biggest fish anyone has ever caught at the PCC! Somehow David managed to catch one of the giant fish instead of the tiny fish that people usually catch there. It was a fantastic day that finished with a fantastic luau. Thanks for coming along!
