Santa brought the boys Step 2 Roller coasters for Christmas this past year. We knew 1 wouldn’t be enough for them…especially when sharing with their older siblings. They love them and we kept them in the house (crazy idea on my part–I was constantly tripping over them!) and finally put them in the back yard. I’m going to share about an hour of my day today: after coming home from the gym, I made myself a protein shake. I set it down to take one of the babies to the bathroom. In the meantime, somebody knocks at the door and at that same moment, the other twin grabs my large shake and literally throws it on the carpet and it splatters on the DVD player. I answer the door then quickly start cleaning the mess only to find that one of the twins has poured two entire things of bubbles in the toilet and is happily flushing to create bubbles. So I put the boys outside to play. They turn on the hose so I know I better hurry out there but i have to get the shake cleaned up. Apparently they climbed through the dog door and took the hose around the side of the house and into the garage…this video clip is of this most recent mess. In this video, Alyssa (5) just learned to hula hoop. Last night she got her first hoop and this morning she showed it to the twins (2 years in the video). I thought it was cute how the twins were trying to copy the motion of the hula like big sister.

We walked into our room and found the twins doing this–the shocking part to me was the flip as they landed on the bed. This is when they had just turned 2 years old! One day they will have to do gymnastics!
And just as an FYI for those who are worried about the boys’ safety: every dresser (and bookshelf, desk and every other tall thing) in our home is bolted to the wall, into a stud, just as a precaution. We also had little drawer locks so the drawers don’t open more than about an inch. This video is old, they are older now, and neither of them has ever broken a bone.

Zac & Chris are my 2 little daredevils. In this video the one who is usually the most adventurous is jumping rather than free falling and the cautious one is the one free falling. They looove their fire truck beds for a lot more than just sleeping!
