Barney and his friends learn some fun lessons about “playing it safe.” The kids create cardboard box cars to teach the rules about seatbelt use and crossing the street safely. To teach Baby Bop about strangers, a classroom version of Little Red Riding Hood is performed. Great music and special lyrics help reinforce the safety lessons. When Barney stumbles on a toy, the children learn that safety begins at home!

Min and Kathy fight over whose turn it is to play with Barney. So, through various songs and activities, Barney teaches them that sharing makes everything a lot more fun! But Min had given up on sharing because her family is so big that she had to keep sharing her bedroom, clothes, toys and other things almost every day and it made her feel unhappy. So Barney gives her a gift that makes her change her mind about sharing.

Barney and the kids are playing outside on a beautiful sunny day in the playground. Robert tells Barney that he has always wanted to be able to stay up all night long just to see what happens at nighttime. The kids are in for some nighttime fun during the day with the help of Barney’s special “Night Timer.” When the lights go down, they all imagine that it is nighttime and get ready for bed by taking a bath, putting on their pajamas and brushing their teeth. Barney teaches them that there are some unusual sights and sounds associated with nighttime. After singing some of their favorite “nighttime” songs, the stars begin to fade and before they know it, the morning sun is shining once again.
