HOW TO MAKE A BOUNCY BALL Easy Science Experiments for kids with Thomas and Friends Fun Information
1.) In a cup mix 1 Tb of borax into 1/2 warm water.
2.)In another cup mix 2 Tb of glue, 1 Tb of cornstarch, and food coloring of your choice
3.)Pour the glue mixture into the water-borax cup. Leave it in there for about 10 seconds o harden
4.) Use a spoon or a fork take out the harden mixture squish it with your hands. If it is still sticky, put in back into the water for a few seconds.
5.) Roll the mixture in your hands to make a ball. The more you roll it, the firmer it will get!
6.) Enjoy your new Bouncy Ball!!!

Instruction
1.) Add 3/4 cup of water into an empty water bottle.
2) Add food coloring of your choice
3.) Fill the bottle to near the top with vegetable oil
4.) Crush up pieces of antacids ( Alka-Seltzer)
5.) Enjoy your easy homemade lava lamp show!!! =)

What you’ll need: (Super easy)
1.) 1 teaspoon of Borax ( can find at any grocery store or Walmart near the laundry detergent) mix with 1 cup of water
2.) Mix a bottle of 4oz glue with 1/2 cup of water in a separate container
3.) Add food coloring to the glue solution
4.) Mix solution with borax and solution with glue together
5.) use your hand and knee the slime
6.)Drain our the extra water into the sink
7.) Can be store in the fridge to last longer!!!
8.) Have fun and let us know how your slime turn out!

A fun and easy science experiment for kids they can do at home with Thomas & Friends and Chuggington! How to make elephant toothpaste Experiments. How to make baking soda and Vinegar explosion!

*Note, we did not following the amount listed exactly. I let Ryan put as much as he like but the result is still wonderful!
Instruction!!!

Experiment #1: Elephant Toothpaste using common household materials.
1.) Add 1/2 Cup of hydrogen Peroxide ( 30-volume developer, brought from a beauty store like Sally’s) to a container.
2.) Add 8-10 drops of food coloring (Stir)
3.) Add about one tablespoon of liquid dishwashing soap
4.) Mix 1 tablespoon of yeast with 3 tablespoon of warm water in a separate small cup for about 30 seconds.
5.) Add the yeast mixture to the container above

Experiment #2: Baking Soda and Vinegar Explosion!!!
1.) Pour out 1/2 Cup of Vinegar
2.) Add food coloring of your choice if you like
3.) Add a tablespoon of baking soda

One of the issues with some of the newer tv’s and projectors is that do not have capability to use some of the older inputs (like composite cables or s-video). Some only have HDMI inputs – so the Sabrent S-Video/Composite to HDMI converter and scaler allows you to use your older dvd players, dvrs, Wii’s , or other devices with your new televisions and projectors.

Notes

– Will accept standard composite inputs (which is the left & right audio and the yellow video cables) or a S-video and converts and upscales it to either a 720P or1080P signal through an HDMI output.

– Works very well – you can see in the video that there is a difference between the standard 480P image and the HD images. While it can’t actually make a 480P to a true 1080P image quality – it can scale it correctly and improve the image quality.

– Does not come with cables (other than the power cable)

– The front of the converter has two buttons – one selects the input source (either composite or S-Video) the other one is to select between 720p and 1080p

Final Verdict – With the exception of the bright blue light I really don’t see any flaws with the Sabrent S-Video and Composite to HDMI converter and scaler. It is easy enough for your parents to use, but still provides all of the capability you need to connect older audio video equipment to your new television or projector. Recommended

I am a fan of the Nyrius Aries Prime – it allows me to wirelessly transmit an H signal from my computer, cable box, and even my iPad to my HD television. The wirelss connection allows you to eliminate and/or add new devices to your home media center. You can see in the video that I am using it with my iPad to mirror my iPad’s screen on to my television. The primary purpose is to mirror your laptop’s screen to your television, but you will be able to find other uses too.

Notes

– Comes with a HD Transmitter which is slightly larger than a standard USB flash drive. The tranmistter does require power – either through the included AC adapter or a USB-to-mini USB connector (which allows both your laptop or an external battery pack to provide power).

– The HD receiver is about the size of two decks of cards and can be mounted to a wall behind your television. It does require power and comes with a second ac power adapter.

– Also comes with an L-shaped HDMI connector and a HDMI cable

– Supports full HD at 1080P and 3D playback

– I have not noticed any type of latency – except when the unit got hot (Which was being provided by an external source) . Make sure that you do not place the Nyrius receiver on a heat source (like a cable box or anything else that gets hot).

– The transmitter and receivers paired almost instantly – and I was able to go from the box to a complete set-up in 5-10 minutes.

– In the video you can see how I was able to use the Aries Prime with my iPad (although it does require some additional accessories – such as a 30pin-to-HDMI connector).

Final Verdict – The ability to wireless transmit and receive wirelss HD signals offers you a lot of flexibility in your home media devices. The Nyrius Aries Prime allows you to plugin a transmitter into the HDMI port of laptop and immediately begin to stream a wireless HD signal. It is easy to set-up and works very well so it is an easy recommendation.

The world of exterior (and interior) lighting has really changed over the last 10 years. For nearly 100 years your only choice was incandescent lights – you could choose between halogen or standard. Then came fluorescent lights, but they weren’t great for floodlight since they were sensitive to temperature and you had limited color options. Now with the rapid emergence of LED lights you can have it all – the low operating costs of fluorescent lights – the instant on of a incandescent – and the new ability to change colors.

The HitLight 10W Color Changing Floodlight is an awesome combination of value (it is inexpensive for a LED), a remote control for changing colors, and it is very bright. We are still exploring all of the uses for this LED floodlight – as an accent light for our interior – for my wife’s classroom (she is a teacher) – for my daughter’s bedroom – or as specialty light for Christmas and Halloween.

Notes

– 10 watts is rated as a 40Watt equivalent, but it seems much brighter than that

– Color changing – has the ability to change between 16 different colors – including three different light modes.

– Waterproof

– Plugs directly into a standard wall outlet

Final Verdict – I am a fan of the HitLights 10Watt color changing LED light. It offers a bright color LED at a very reasonable price point. You may be surprised at all of the places you can use this LED light. Recommended.

The SanDisk Connect Media Drive allows you to significantly expand the memory of your tablet. The SanDisk Connect solves that problem by setting up a local network that allows you to steam files (and media) into special SanDisk device. It allows 8 people to share files and up to 5 to stream videos.

The SanDisk Connect has a few areas for improvement (especially in the app) but for the most part it does exactly what it states. I am thrilled that it gives me the ability to double the memory of my iPad and share files to others.

Notes-

– The SanDisk device sets up as a wireless router (without a connection to the internet) – so you will need to go to your setting and connect to the “SanDisk” network.

– You will need to download the SanDisk app – the app is works ok but it isn’t anything fancy in terms of file creation or search options

– Expandable and can except 64G SD memory cards so that you can have a total of 128G of memory. This means that your 64G iPad can be expanded up to 192G

– Transfer files is the biggest oddity about the device – You can easily transfer files from your iPad/iPhone/Device to SanDisk Drive and vice versa. However…. (at the time of this review) you can not transfer from a SD card directly to the SanDisk Drive – you must first transfer it to your iPad/iPhone/Device and then transfer it from your iPad/iPhone/Device to the SanDisk. It is puzzling that you can not transfer directly from the SD Memory card to the SanDisk.

– Transfer speeds are more than acceptable.

– I never experienced delays when streaming videos

– Rechargeable – the manufacturer claims that you can stream for up to 8 hours on one charge

– Can be password protected

– Small and lightweight – about 60% the size of a deck of cards

– Perfect for long car rides when everyone wants to stream their own movie to their device

– Another use is in business meetings for sharing files, documents, purchase orders to multiple people. Save the files as PDF file and put it on a SD memory card and then everyone will have access to the files on their own personal tablet.

Final Verdict – The SanDisk Connect Media Drive is a great way to stream files across multiple devices. The SanDisk App has room for improvement, and I am puzzled as to why you have to download files from the external memory to your ipad/iphone/other device before you can save it directly to the SanDisk integrated drive (hopefully this will be fixed with an app upgrade). However, the Media Drive is a very good option for sharing to multiple devices. Recommended

I have reviewed several different power banks over the year, but none of them had a built in solar panel. The solar chargin option is attractive for when I am camping, hiking or even on a boat. Having the option to use a conventional 5V mini USB or sunlight is an attractive feature… but remember even in direct sunlight it would take many hours to fully charge a 7200mAh power bank. Due to the time it would take to fully charge many people use the solar panel to help augment the output of the battery… meaning that when you are charging your smartphone/table/device you can use the sunlight to help assist the internal battery.

Notes

– The max input from the monocrystalline solar panel is 5V at 180mA … while I have not done the math it does mean that it will take over 24 hours (of sun light) for the powerbank to fully charge.

– It can be charged even on a cloudy day, but it will not charge under a normal household light

– The PowerADD has one 5V 1A output which can charge smarphones to tablets

– Comes with 4 charging tips – a 30 pin tip for Apple products, a PSP (or so I am assuming) tip, and both micro and min USB tips (The mini USB tip is also used for charging the PowerADD through a convention USB power source).

– Provides 7200mAh of capacity – which is enough to charge and iPhone 3 times and provide about a 90% charge to an iPad 2

– Does not come with a carrying case

– The solar panel does make it a little larger than a comparable 7200mAh external battery pack – but in my opinion it is an acceptable compromise

– You must hold the power button for 3 full seconds in order to turn the unit on and off (I mention it…because at first I struggled trying to turn it on).

Final verdict – While business travelers may prefer smaller non-solar options in their powerbanks it is easy to see why people who like the outdoors would choose the PowerADD 7200mAh Powerbank. Just remember that even in full sunlight it will charge the powerbank at about 1/5th the speed of a 5V 1A power source.
