Друзья Куми-Куми играют в игровой автомат, но им не хватает монетки, чтобы продолжить свое развлечение. Череда случайностей подталкивает их к открытию салона красоты, чтобы заработать монетку и продолжить игру. Но, как выяснилось, салон красоты — не такой уж и легкий способ заработать! В результате начинаются такие события, которые переворачивают мир Куми-Куми с ног на голову, затрагивая даже короля племени Джуми-Куми и его королеву.
Удивительный мир Куми-Куми делят между собой три необычных племени: колдуны, ученые и военные. Главные герои сериала – Джуга, Юси и Шумадан – происходят из разных племен, но это не мешает их дружбе. Вместе они попадают в самые невероятные истории, выпутаться из которых бывает очень непросто. К тому же, и Джуга, и Шумадан по уши влюблены в девочку Юси.
