We’re checking out toys from the movies Cars 2 and Planes Fire and Rescue. The Cars Hydro Wheels World Grand Prix Splash Speedway track set features side-by-side racing of two Hydro Wheels cars. Characters from Planes Fire and Rescue race against the Cars characters to see who is fastest, Planes or Cars.

When we saw this at Toys R Us, it seemed way better than the original Lil’ Fishys aquarium, and, all things considered, it is better. It is bigger, it has better “toys” that come with it, and the pirate theme is a huge hit with our boys. The downside of this toy is that it definitely takes an adult (or two) to assemble it. Some of the pieces may seem like they aren’t fitting together till you really get them to snap just right, and the instructions aren’t much help. Our only other issue is that the fish are to be twisted to turn them on and off, leaving the potential for your child to drop the fish in the water when it is twisted to “off” and ruin the toy, since there isn’t a built in water tight seal. Hope you like our twist on how to use this toy because it turned out to be a great alternative use for our kids!!

Transforming Jake and The Never Land Pirates Submarine Ship with hidden treasure! Spongebob Squarepants and Disney Frozen Olaf the Snowman found undersea once Jake the pirate turns his boat into a submarine and travels underwater. Jake and The Neverland Pirates Submarine Bucky’s Never Sea Adventure rolls and magically pops out fins, tail and engines with a turn of the Jake’s Periscope!
