Doc McStuffins is one of the most popular shows on Disney Jr. It features a young doctor who cares for and fixes all of toys in her neighborhood. Stuffy the Dragon is one of Doc’s patients and friends – and he has now his own Check Up play set. In truth, it is very similar to the Doc McStuffin’s Check up kit… but it is more geared towards boys. Fortunately, for us, our daughter’s favorite color is blue and she was thrilled to have an all blue doctor kit!

Notes-

– Comes with an Otoscope, blood pressure cuff, sound effects stethoscope, stickers, syringe, and a doctors bag.

– The stethoscope plays sounds from Stuffy and the Doc McStuffins show.

– The doctor’s bag isn’t as effective in holding all of Stuffy’s doctor gear as the Doc McStuffins Doctor bag

– Another difference from the Doc McStuffins Doctor bag is that a thermometer is not included (which seems an odd).

Final Verdict – The Disney Doc McStuffins Stuffy’s Check up set is a nice alternative for boys (and possibly girls) who would prefer a blue set over a pink and purple bag. You sacrifice a thermometer but gain a blue, stuffy inspired, play set. Recommended for Doc McStuffins fans and inspiring doctors everywhere.

Ok, one thing needs to be stated up front – only ONE plane is included in the trackset (Dusty Crophooper) – and for maximum fun you will need two planes… so you will need to purchase an additional plane. However, once you have a second plane this Sky track Challenge Set is fun. While younger children (under 4) may struggle older kids will enjoy setting up the track and creating a large variety of stunts for the planes.

Are there a few issues with the Sky Track Challenge Set? Yes… it can be a bit flimsy at times…… and it is too large to easily store without losing some of the parts. However, in our case the positives out weigh the negatives.

Notes

– Only one plane is included – Dusty CropHopper

– You will need a table or some sort of surface that you can clamp (using the included C clamp) – and you will need at least 2 feet of vertical drop between the table and the floor

– Assembly takes at least 15 minutes – but in ways this is one of the better parts to the toy. It is fun designing the course and how each plane will encounter the rolls.

– When racing the first plane to hit the finish gate causes the flag to pop op.

– Each plane is fitted into a plastic harness/frame that guides it down the track

– One thing to note – the clips that join the track together need to be connected in a way that keeps the track smooth – this is done by using the clips underneath the track (see the video)

– Storage is a bit of a pain – there really isn’t a good way to store and save space.

-Ages 3 and up – but probably better suited for children over 5

Final verdict – While we would have preferred that the set came with two planes, but other than that (and its large footprint when trying to store) it is a fun toy for any fan of Disney Pixar’s Planes.

The Play Doh Cake Makin’ Station lets kids make and decorate their own cakes. Older children will really enjoy using the molds and the cake makin’ station – but younger kids will struggle to do anything other than use the side press for cupcake and the molds for decorations.

Notes

– Comes with 4 cans of Play Doh – White, Blue, Brown and Pink

– The side of the station features a cupcake press (which works very well)

– A small extruder is included for making real looking frosting.

– Comes with multiple press tops and cake molds – again they are fun but younger kids will have a hard time mastering the cake makin station.

– A plate, spoon, knife and fork are included – a real looking candle can be made from the handle of the knife

– Clean up is not too difficult

Final Verdict – There are definitely better Play Doh Sweet Shoppe play sets out there for younger children, but older kids may like all of the options and the very real looking cakes that can be made
