Our 3 year old daughter is a fan of Sofia the First on Disney Jr. Disney, always thinking of news ways to marketing their brand has licensed a bunch of new Sofia toys to the toy hungry girls and boys out there. The Sofia the First Talking Amulet is fairly priced, pretty well designed, and it works
Notes
– The Amulet is a little too large – although it must be large in order to work as a talking card reader. At first my daughter thought that it was a little too large to be *real* jewelery.
– Due to the size, I am a bit worried about the clasp on the chain – it hasn’t broken yet (and it may not) but it is my main area of concern.
– Includes 12 cards – inserting one of the cards triggers the amulet (in Sofia’s voice) to give a tip on being a princess. Each of these *princess tips* are nice rules for everyday life.
– My wife and I like the fact that they included a nice carrying case for the cards.
– Make sure that you take the Amulet out of *Try Me Mode* in order for the card reader to work.
– Batteries are included – although they are non-standard batteries (not AAA or AA).
Final Verdict – The Sofia the First Talking Magical Amulet is a fun accessory for any fan of Disney Jr’s Sofia the First. It is a little large, but it does work well – so I can recommend it!
