Baby Michael has mastered going up and down the stairs very well. He now goes super speed down the stairs, often faster than shown in the video. It makes me laugh every time I see it!

After we made gingerbread houses with the big kids, we wanted to do gingerbread men with them so Michael could participate. Michael had a great time (I’m pretty sure he loved the eating more than anything else!). Thanks for watching!

We started our elf tradition when the kids were small (before I had even heard of Elf on a Shelf). First Holly came to us, then Molly came. Then the next year, Tinsel joined them! Our elf tradition is a little different than others, but our kids like Holly, Molly and Tinsel very much! And with 3 of Santa’s helpers, there’s always a treat or surprise to be found and there’s always someone watching to report back to Santa! The kids are always sad to see them go once Christmas is over.

We got some new markers….the kids were coloring before bed and accidentally left one out! I was putting the big kids to bed and Michael made a marker mess. Luckily it is washable non-toxic markers (all markers in our house are), so it cleaned up easily with a paper towel :)

We made Gingerbread Houses with the kids! Last year we had a girls house and a boys house. This year, we let each of the four big kids decorate their own. The kids really liked making their houses and are especially looking forward to decorating their own gingerbread men later in the week!
