Being that Michael is our fifth baby, one might think that his milestones would be more overlooked, since we are busier now than we were a few years back, but I have to say that I think we made a bigger deal over Michael’s First Birthday than we have of any of our kids thus far. Michael shares a birthday with his grandma (mommy’s side) and his big First Birthday happened to be her Big 60th….so we made it a Double Birthday Bash surprise party for grandma. She thought she was attending his party, not knowing she was also going to her own. It was such a fun day. Now the question you’ll have to watch the video to answer is this: how did his cake eating go??? Because we all know, the point of a first birthday is to watch baby eating cake!

The kids grandparents took them to LEGOLAND for their first time. The kids had a great time at LEGOLAND. They could go on almost every ride. Also, most of the rides had some sort of “do it yourself” feature, such as pumping a handle to get your fire truck to rack, and pulling up on a rope to get yourself to the top of a column so you could freefall back down. The Lego villages and depictions of real life places were simply AMAZING!!
