Chuggington is a fictional town where young trains – Brewster, Wilson, Hoot and Toot, Koko, and Piper learn the ways of the railroad and friendship. The set let’s your child recreate the Frostini’s Meltdown where Brewster has to help deliver ice to the ice cream factory. Chuggington is broadcast over Disney Junior in the USA and BBC in the UK.
While Thomas the Train is more popular – Chuggington is still a very popular show for boys…. and some girls.
Notes
– The track only fits together one way – and it doesn’t well together, so it takes 10 minutes to put together (if you read the directions) or 1 hour if you don’t read the instructions.
– Comes with Brewster – a car, and a rail car saw – each car has a magnet on the front and back to connect.
– Has a crane for loading for loading unloading the blocks of ice onto Brewster.
– The tunnel on top of the bridge can be removed and can be placed anywhere on the track.
– Again, the biggest negative is the fit of the tracks – in some place they fit very loosely but in other areas they pinch and must be forced to lock together.
– Brewster and the rail cars do not roll smoothly over all of the tracks – and will likely jump off of the tracks when going down the hill.
Final Verdict – The Chuggington Wooden Railway is a nice,but expensive, wooden railway. I wish the the track would fit together better so that Brewster and the cars could roll along the track a little more consistently. However, the time and effort still brings smiles from the kids.
