We signed the kids up for surf lessons. I figured it would take a few weeks for them to get the hang of it, but they were out there standing up already before I even had the chance to get my camera out! Of course there were some epic wipeouts along the way, but overall it was a super successful first lesson! I am so totally impressed by their abilities in the ocean. First of all they are all so much braver than me –even little Michael tandem surfed with his instructor! Second, I’m just generally impressed that they all got the concept and got up on their boards so quickly! More lesson videos will be coming soon so you can see their progress as they learn to surf. The kids say their next stop will be: jaws, mavericks, north shore, pipeline, sunset beach, ghost tree, banzai ….their list goes on an on (they have high hopes haha).
