Mike the Knight is a relatively new show on Nickelodeon. Mike is a 10 year old knight who is in search for adventure. The Mike the Knight Glendragon Playset features many fun tricks and sounds that is sure to bring smiles to a child’s face. It features zip line, trap doors, catapults, and disappearing treasures – so much that I enjoyed playing with it (almost) as much as my 3 year old daughter. As you would expect other accessories are for sale – such as Mike’s 8 year old sister Evie.
Notes-
– Features a two figures – Mike the Knight and his horse Galahad. Just like in the show Mike has a very large head, which is cute, but it makes it difficult for him to stand on carpet.
– Includes a treasure chest that can automatically hide a golden treasure.
– A catapult fits on top of the castle and can fire a large rock – the directions in the box state that you want to make sure that you don’t fire the rock towards a person’s eye!
– Mike’s bed lifts up to feature an escape slide – although it the escape hatch seems a little too small which makes it a little tough for Mike to escape.
– The top of the castle turret rotates so that Mike enter or leave the castle
– A push of the button causes the castle to play Mike the Knight sounds to play
– Mike can hold onto a zip line and zip from his flag pole to a position outside of the castle
– Mike fits on Galahad, but it is not a very tight fit and he can easily fall off. Not that big of a deal, but it may frustrate some children.
– Galahad’s food trough can double as a bench
– Very little assembly required.
Final Verdict-The Mike the Knight Glendragon Playset is fun for both fans and non-fans of Mike the Knight. While the playset has a few minor shortcomings it is still has plenty of tricks, secret passages, and fun to keep most kids all smiles.
