Play-Doh Dora The Explorer and Strawberry Shortcake Fresh ‘n Fruity Smoothies Play Dough make over. Dora the Explorer is an American educational animated TV series on Nick Jr. Each episode is based around a series of ritualistic events that occur along the way during Dora’s travels, along with obstacles that she and Boots are forced to overcome or puzzles that they have to solve (with “assistance” from the viewing audience) relating to riddles, the Spanish language, or counting. Common rituals may involve Dora’s encounters with Swiper, a bipedal, anthropomorphic masked thieving fox whose attempts at stealing the possessions of others must be prevented through fourth wall-breaking interaction with the viewer. The Strawberry Shortcake line of characters each had their own fruit or dessert-themed name with clothing to match, and they each had a dessert- or fruit-named pet. Like the Strawberry Shortcake doll, all the other characters’ dolls had hair scented to match their dessert theme. The characters lived and played in a magical world known as Strawberryland.
