The kids got to meet their favorite animals recently! We kept it a surprise from them so they’d be really excited. We brought them to a special animal sanctuary. Each child went up by him or herself then waited in a different area after so the surprise wouldn’t be spoiled for whoever went next. This was the kids’ very first VR experience. It was awesome! Yowie helped the kids discover their spirit animals through the VR experience. Wait until you see the surprise!

What a fun day we had! We started off our day at home playing with a really cool new toy called Magnaflex–my kids are obsessed and I’m not just saying it. They haven’t stopped spending at least an hour a day playing with them since we got them, so be sure to check them out here: http://www.getmagnaflex.com/ We had plans to apple pick that turned into going somewhere else instead, but we got to hold a real snake, pet turtles, play with animal puppets, check out microscopes (my kids love science so they really enjoyed this part of our day) and we ended our day with a nice family dinner at one of our favorite burger joints. 24 hours with 6 kids on Halloween could potentially be quite crazy, but we had a spooky, exciting and super fun day! Plus–it was baby Owen’s first Halloween! We did all of our Halloween traditions: pumpkin painting, Halloween art, Halloween themed meals, and Halloween homemade treats! We enjoyed trick-or-treating and the kids were more than happy to donate all their extra candy, which made me happy too!
