So this is the biggest disaster Michael has ever caused. My mom had just flown in and wanted to see the kids before they went to bed. We were out, about to grab something at the grocery store, so we came back home to see Papa and Nanny first. We had just sat down on the couch to hear about my mom’s trip when i asked where Michael was (it was awfully quiet). A few moments later, I heard this sound but couldn’t quite pinpoint the sound. I wondered if Michael was in his favorite place (sarcastic)…the bathroom. I started realizing it sounded like water being poured or sprayed, so we ran to the bathroom. Water was literally POURING from the toilet. Talk about a mess. We don’t even know how Michael plugged the toilet in order to get it to overflow like that, but we think one of the twins left a pair of undies on the floor when he had gone to the bathroom and michael tried to flush them along with a bunch of toilet paper. The toilet still isn’t quite working right so we will be removing it and investigating further this weekend…
It’s tricky because the other little kids in the house have trouble remembering to shut the bathroom door behind them, then Michael can get into the bathroom. Toilet locks also aren’t an option because when the twins have to use the bathroom, they usually wait till the last minute, so they have an accident if they have to wait. So for now, we just have to be more diligent about keeping the bathroom door shut when Michael is not in his play area.

After we pranked the kids by telling them we were throwing away all their hard-earned halloween candy, and they didn’t have the utter meltdowns we had anticipated them having, we decided to give it another shot by telling them we had eaten all their halloween candy. this is the morning after halloween :) enjoy! ps–thanks for the idea Jimmy Kimmel!

So we decided to play a little prank on our kids this year. We decided to tell them we were going to be throwing away their Halloween candy. We expected more of a completely meltdown from them–not that they weren’t upset–we just thought they would be more like the kids we had seen online getting super mad about their candy. So the next morning, we pulled the “I ate your Halloween candy” prank on them. (it’s in another video). Anyway, hope you enjoy our version of the Halloween candy prank.

This is one of our boys’ favorite Imaginext playsets. They have loved it since opening up the box. We were fortunate and got it on clearance at Target, so it was well worth the purchase. Other than the entertainment value of our toy reviews, we hope that this one in particular is helpful. When we bought this and saw the hook hanging from the Castle, we thought it was just a fun feature. Then we saw the part on the tower that seemed to be useless. Knowing Imaginext, no moving part is useless, so we looked at the pictures on the box, searched the internet for pictures, read the directions–nothing mentioned that the Tower and the Castle connected via the hanging hook. In the video we show how. Hopefully that helps someone since we couldn’t find this information anywhere that we looked when setting up our Castle.

Pumpkin patches are fun for kids of all ages. What we loved about Mr Bones Pumpkin Patch were all of the cute, tiny pumpkins. The kids fell in love with the little ones, so we ended up taking home a bag of small ones. This pumpkin patch had a minimal entry fee, but everything inside the gates was an extra charge. While walking down the car isle at Toys R Us a few months back, we noticed the Max Tow Truck, it looked pretty awesome, and being able to tow up to 200 pounds would mean that it should be able to pull all 5 of our kids along behind it, if we found the right vessel to hold them all in. We were excited to try this one out! We used a bunch of combinations and had some fun testing it.
