This video contains one of the most incredible things I have ever captured on camera. You won’t believe your eyes! We were at the tide pools with some friends and we noticed two octopuses. A few minutes later, one of them decided to move to a new location, RIGHT BY MY FEET! The next thing I knew, the octopus inked not once, but twice! It changed color a bunch of times all within seconds. It was the most crazy and amazing thing I have seen in nature, and definitely something I was not expecting. I’m glad I happened to be recording David’s giant sea cucumber so I was able to capture this rare moment. Today I conquer a longtime fear of mine: going into deep water where I can’t see the bottom. You may have noticed that most of the swimming at the beach has been me filming everyone else doing it. Ever since a near drowning experience I had as a child, I have been scared of dark bottomed pools and other bodies of water where I can’t see the bottom, so going out deep in the ocean as I did today was a really huge step for me in conquering the fear I have had since I was just around Michael’s age. Now as for the rest o the video: how about those goals!! The kids have done so well scoring at soccer this season. We also took the kids to Pearl Harbor to see the Arizona Memorial and learn more about that piece of American history. Also-PLEASE subscribe to the kids channels and go check them out! If you’ve had trouble finding the hidden pineapple in our videos, I promise you won’t have trouble at all today! We went to the Dole Plantation, ate fresh pineapple, tried pineapple cotton candy, got some delicious dole whip and rode the Aloha Express. Owen tried pineapple for his first time, and we checked out the giant maze. There was SO MUCH pineapple stuff everywhere that we loved. If you are visiting Hawaii, this would be a great place to stop. It is super beautiful. Almost anywhere you stand, you’ll get a gorgeous photo. There’s lots of cool stuff in the gift shop, but the prices are definitely not the lowest on the island. Gotta pick and choose what you buy carefully!
