This is not a drill. That’s what the message said. We were stunned……we moved just a few weeks ago to Hawaii, and one of our first weekends in our new place did not turn out how we expected. After calming down from the alarm that was sent to our phones, we went on to soccer, Costco, and a BBQ in the yard. Great Grandma Reacts to Fidget Spinner

A lot of you have asked for an update on the kids’ great grandma (my grandma) who is 97 years old. We spent a few days with her and really had a fun time spoiling her and loving her and making memories that our kids will hopefully remember. She is doing quite well for her age. I really hope she continues to do well so she can celebrate a 100th birthday in a few years–that would be amazing!! One of my favorite moments of this video is when we asked Grandma her opinion of fidget spinners. She used to be a school teacher, so we also asked if she thought they belonged in schools. Loved her reaction to the gadget. Also, her memory is not what it used to be, and when we came back and visited her a few days later, she saw my kids with their spinner and said “hey! I have one of those! I keep it by mt TV!” It made me so happy she remembered she had one and where it was. Owen’s First Food!

It seems that in the past few years, the recommendations for when to first feed babies solid foods have changed a bit, so we waited for Owen to be 6 months old before giving him any solid foods. I noticed a huge difference in his ability to eat on his first try in comparison to my other kids who started their first solids at 4 months.
