We had an evening beach day! We met up with Alyssa’s soccer team to clean up the beach and walk everyone’s dogs. You won’t believe some of the things they found! The kids played in the ocean with their friends, They got sandy and it was cool afterwards with a slight breeze. Alyssa’s team pictures turned out fantastic! We loved doing community service together with family and friends. Plus, it’s important to keep the world we live in clean and beautiful. This vlog is one of our most memorable days for many reasons: We filmed it the day we hit 6.5 million subscribers, we got an avacado bigger than the size of my hand, I didn’t know it was possible to sweat that much while shopping, I got brand new clothes for 20 cents each, the kids had a blast playing games, we ate delicious food, and it was just an all around fun family event here in Hawaii at the Punahou Carnival and we are glad we attended because it was just plain awesome. Also, this is the school Pres. Obama attended. We are friends with one of his previous classmates. They graduated together and he told us that Pres. Today we went on an amazing hike to beautiful Waimea Falls waterfall. We also learned how to weave flowers into a beautiful Hawaiian flower lei! We all made our own DIY lei and wore it for the rest of the day. I thought everyone did a really great job for their first try at sewing a lei. I had always wondered how leis were made. It seems like the flowers wouldn’t look good but we found that sewing through them didn’t ruin them at all! We had a really nice family day together. We love sharing hidden gems of Hawaii with you! We were driving along when David happened to look out the window and see the tallest rope swing we have ever seen! We decided to go back to look for it, hoping we would be able to swing on it. It turned out to be super tall, super sturdy, and super fun! We spend a long time swinging and enjoying the gorgeous views. Pushing the kids on the swing is a really fun memory we made, and we hope you enjoy sharing it with us! We visited the Polynesian Cultural Center. We made fire, sang, danced, and even went fishing and caught our first fish! Be sure to watch Matt on stage in Tonga–he was hilarious! Family fun aside, the history, heritage and tradition at the PCC is something admirable and unforgettable. There are so many moments that touched my heart during our visit there.
